L-Tron is excited to announce that they have won two prestigious Pinnacle Awards from Rochester Chapter of the American Marketing Associatio: “Best Website” & “Best Small Business Campaign”.

Rochester, NY (Merxwire) – L-Tron won the AMA Pinnacle Awards! They are excited to announce that won two prestigious Pinnacle Awards from the Rochester Chapter of the American Marketing Associatio. At the virtual awards ceremony held on the AMA Rochester Facebook page on September 15, 2020, L-Tron was awarded the “Best Website” & “Best Small Business Campaign”.

It is not easy to win the AMA Pinnacle Awards, so L-Tron is very happy to get honor and recognition. Each award needs to be strictly reviewed, and the strategy, tactics, creative and other projects are evaluated, and the winners will be selected after careful scoring. Only through continuous innovation and progress can create competitiveness and win awards.

The “Best Website” Award is presented to a marketing organization that has shown strategy, tactics, creative, and results through a website redesign or campaign. The “Small Business Campaign” is awarded to an organization with less than 50 employees who demonstrate creativity, strategy, tactics and results through a designated marketing campaign. The L-Tron team won this category for the strategy surrounding the OSCR360 solution (https://www.l-tron.com/OSCR360). These awards were particularly meaningful to the company given the global disruption of COVID-19. The company has been agile, adaptive and shifted strategy with each new challenge.

Gayle DeRose, Chief Marketing Officer and Principal at L-Tron praises her department for their collaboration and passion.

“Our M-Team exemplifies creativity and innovation on a daily basis. Despite the multitude of challenges we have encountered this year, including a shift to working remotely, our team continues to thrive through collaboration and a passion to accomplish great things and deliver results. We’ve stayed ahead of both our client’s and employee’s needs, and maintained open lines of communication, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to health, well-being, and continued success. These two AMA awards further validate the positive results we’ve achieved. We are proud of our accomplishments and offer our congratulations to the other winners and finalists! A big thank you to the AMA for holding the ceremony and bringing a big smile to our company- it was an extremely powerful morale boost!”

L-Tron is no stranger to the Pinnacle Awards, as the company has been in contention for multiple awards over the past five years and was awarded the “2018 Best in Print Advertising” and “2019 Best in Print Advertising” award following several print advertising campaigns in Officer.com’s Law Enforcement Product News and Law Enforcement Technology magazines.

BEIJING — China on Wednesday accused the U.S. of having "weaponized" the issuance of visas following the reported inability of a top Chinese space program official to obtain permission to travel to a key conference in Washington. Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying told reporters that the head of the Chinese delegation to the International Astronautical Congress wasn't able to obtain a visa following an Oct. 12 interview, making it difficult for Chinese representatives to attend important events at the meeting. Reports said the vice chairman of the China National Space Administration, Wu Yanhua, had planned to attend the congress. Hua...

Oct 1, 2020

SEOUL, South Korea — South Korean police said Saturday they beefed up security at the U.S. ambassador's residence in Seoul after a group of anti-American students used ladders to break into the compound. They were protesting demands by the Trump administration that South Korea pay more to help cover the costs of keeping U.S. troops in the country. Officials from three Seoul police stations didn't immediately say whether they will seek to formally arrest any of the 19 university students who were detained Friday afternoon at the residence of Ambassador Harry Harris. Protests squeezing Hong Kong economy, tourism, leader says

Oct 1, 2020

HONG KONG — Hong Kong's economy is languishing after months of increasingly violent protests, the city's embattled leader Carrie Lam said Tuesday. Lam, addressing reporters after a long weekend of more turmoil, said tourism arrivals were down by half and that hotels and retailers were suffering. Hong Kong's third quarter economic data will definitely be "very bad", said Lam, the semi-autonomous territory's Beijing-backed chief executive said. Lam said she did not have the data with her. But empty streets and tourist attractions are evidence of the fallout from the protests that began in June over a now-shelved extradition bill that...

US priest who gave out gifts in Philippines accused of abuse

Oct 1, 2020

TALUSTUSAN, Philippines — The American priest's voice echoed over the phone line, his sharp Midwestern accent softened over the decades by a gentle Filipino lilt. On the other end, recording the call, was a young man battered by shame but anxious to get the priest to describe exactly what had happened in this little island village. "I should have known better than trying to just have a life," the priest said in the November 2018 call. "Happy days are gone. It's all over." But, the young man later told the Associated Press, those days were happy only for the priest....

In Japan, a court case highlights paternity leave issues

Oct 1, 2020

TOKYO — He sits in an office of a major Japanese sportswear maker but reports to no one. He is assigned odd tasks like translating into English the manual on company rules like policies on vacations and daily hours, though he has minimal foreign language skills. He was sidelined, he says, as retribution for taking paternity leaves after each of his two sons was born. Now he's the plaintiff in one of the first lawsuits in Japan over "pata-hara," or paternity harassment, as it is known here. The first hearing is scheduled for this week. His case is unusual in...
